I wheel and glide in this sky chalked full of blue memories. The wind pushes all the skin from my face and in the distance, rising forward, there is a streak of light. a second freezes, then passes, and I am engulfed, turned and unfurled. Thunder breaks upon my body and the roar of a she-wolf fills my ears and my stomach and my head and my heart. Then I plummet. And the sirens are screeching in my ears till cold, swinging waves reach up to catch and toss me out of control. Then there is a warmth as the weight pulls me downward and a sudden silence which is warm, like honey and a pulse which reminds me of my womb...
